The Steilacoom Public Safety Advisory Committee exists to facilitate communication between the Public Safety Department and our residents and to make recommendations to the town council on matters of public safety. Last year, committee published a town-wide survey which was very helpful in learning about the concerns and existing level of knowledge that our citizens have regarding public safety in Steilacoom. A couple of examples of committee recommendations that have been implemented are the neighborhood “Chief Chats” and a renewal of Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) activity in the town.
The committee is now publishing a follow-up survey to learn about the effectiveness of programs implemented over this last year and what additional public safety topics are of interest to Steilacoom residents. Please take a few minutes to complete the relevant survey:
